Overview
About Me
Hey! I´m Tim.
I was born and raised in a small town in Saxony-Anhalt and I´am currently living and studying in Chemnitz, Germany.
I am easy going, modest, open minded and humorous (despite my nationality :P)
My field of study is Political Science, so don´t hesitate to share your opinion with me. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My aim here is to meet new people and places, of course. I would like to get insights by locals instead of trashy mass tourism and as I´m a student I´m looking for a way to get some international experience on a budget.
Besides this I would consider myself a really hospitable person and looking forward to share some experiences with you.
Interests
I´m interested in pretty much everything besides sport For example politics, culture, the middle east and especially literature (just to mention the most important).
- culture
- literature
- cooking
- recipes
- politics
- tourism
Music, Movies, and Books
When it comes to that stuff I am not picky.
I love books such as 1984, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close or the "Song of Ice and Fire" series.
Dramas, Tarantino-films and historical movies as well as comedies are preferred.
Same goes for music, I like nearly everything except metal, hardstyle techno or top ten pop music but I prefere electro, rap and different kinds of rock music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most impressing thing I´ve done on a journey so far was watching the starlitt sky in a masai village in the middle of nowhere of the tanzanian savannah. There is nothing more special than the feeling of remotness.
Another great experience was a recent journey to Israel. Seeing different places and meeting people affected by the regional conflict in everyday live, had a huge impact on me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a passionate cook and would love to exchange experiences and recipes.
Furthermore every discussion about politics, culture and cuisine is desireable.
I am keen to have an insight in the everyday life of all kinds of people as well as learning about their perspective, view and opinion on the world!
