About Me

I'm a photographer on the way to becoming a journalist, currently living and working in the GBA, Canton.
I'm planning to continue my studies in France soon.

For me, photography is where stories begin — a way to reach out and to see the world with a bit more tenderness.
Documenting has always been at the heart of what I do; through visuals, I try to understand how people and places shape one another.

I've wandered through the streets of Bangkok at dawn and climbed Hallasan in Korea alone, slowly realizing that leaving China doesn't necessarily mean entering the world.

I've learned to keep my curiosity alive, and along the way, I've found that what I love most is listening to stories.
Field research has become my second window into the world.
I didn't change Africa, but Africa changed me. My first field trip was in Kenya — an investigation into wildlife conservation.
We visited local NGOs, animal welfare advocates, and residents from Maasai communities.
The second was in Sichuan, the home of pandas, focusing on local lifestyles and values.
The third took me to Hanoi, Vietnam, where I explored perspectives on the “Global South.”
And perhaps, the next one will happen in Istanbul…

I truly believe that there's no better way to understand a culture than living in a local friend's home.
That's probably why I'm here on Couchsurfing — to experience different ways of life through real encounters, and to share my own stories in return.

Nice to meet you, and I hope our paths cross somewhere in the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here to meet people who see travel as more than checking places off a list.
I enjoy learning how others live, hearing their stories, and sharing mine in return.
Genuine exchanges are always the best part of any journey.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: If I like a piece of music, I try to play it myself — that's the fun of having a clarinet.

BOOKS: Novels, Biographies, and lately, a few books on Business and Marketing.

Movies: If I want to watch something I love, sometimes I just make it — that's the perk of being behind a camera.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The coolest thing I’ve ever done was my first field trip in Africa — an investigative project on wildlife conservation in Kenya.
It wasn’t just travel; it was the first time I understood what “field research” really means.

We visited local NGOs, wildlife rangers, animal-welfare advocates, and residents from Maasai communities.
I still remember standing on the open grassland at sunrise, listening to a ranger explain how they track animals and protect them from poaching.
It was the first time I felt how stories begin long before a camera appears — in conversations, in daily struggles, in the way people defend what they love.

I didn’t change Africa, but Africa changed me.
It taught me to slow down, to listen better, and to see the world with more tenderness.
That trip is the reason I decided to continue doing fieldwork, and later, why I started moving toward journalism.

It’s still the coolest thing I’ve ever done — not because it was adventurous, but because it opened a door that I’m still walking through today.

Teach, Learn, Share

TEACH: I can share basic photography and visual storytelling skills.
And if you're interested in East Asian culture, I'd be more than happy to talk about it too.

LEARN: I'd love to learn about different cultures, daily habits, and the ways people see the world.
Every conversation helps me grow — and sometimes even becomes part of my field research.

SHARE: Stories from my travels, conversations about culture, and of course — the photos and videos I capture along the way.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you ever need photos or videos, just tell me — I'm always happy to help with shooting or editing.
I'm respectful, independent, and clean. I can help with small chores, cook simple meals, or take care of things when you're busy.
I explore on my own when you're busy and join you when you're free.
Mostly, I bring good company, curiosity, and stories from the places I've been.
