Overview
About Me
After raising our children overseas, we are settled here at the end of a quiet street, enjoying grandchildren and Georgia summer nights. I love to read, good conversation, and helping people along their way. We are Christians who love to learn and grow even at this later stage in life. Traveling may be in our future if couchsurfing proves to be a viable option.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd like to try it now that we are empty nesters! We also have a back house/cottage that shouldn't sit empty.
Interests
Music, literature, faithful people who have battle scars from living life well. I've found God to be reliable and true. I also love my children and grandchildren. They are proof that you can have a happy family where all depend on and love each other. Mush.
Music, Movies, and Books
I like music from Joni Mitchell to Beyonce and both my husband and I love bluegrass. We play the guitar ably enough to accompany our singing and like to sit around a fire in our back yard and play when it gets cold.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived in the desert in Niger with our family of five and taught literacy to a nomadic people group!
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach English to some very fascinating ninth graders that I feel privileged to know. I learn daily the need to lay down my life and the wonder of all there is yet to know. Sharing a good laugh is pretty fun.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories and a helping hand with the dishes.
