About Me
Hi, I’m Tina.
I‘m studying Music and English in Berlin, but spent my last year of studies in Manchester and simply loved my time there. Now I want to use my last weeks in the UK to explore the South of the country and I can’t wait to meet a lot of interesting people along the way!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think spending time with locals while travelling is a great way of getting to know open-minded people, their culture and attitudes. For me, Couchsurfing seems like an awesome opportunity of bringing people together, creating a community and eventually realising the benefits and personal gains of offering and receiving help as well as trusting unknown people - all of which tends to be forgotten way too often in our society and in my opinion would turn the world into a better, happier and more enjoyable place.
Interests
I love music, both listening to and playing on my own. I‘ve been playing the classical saxophone for years and am now trying to give playing Jazz a go. I also play the piano and occasionally the guitar (just know a few chords but it’s enough to sing to it and have a good time though).
I am also really into yoga, going for hikes and spending time in the nature in general, cooking and spending time with people who inspire me.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
I would say I have a really wide taste of music and it really depends on my mood, what I want to listen to. It ranges from classical music, to Jazz, 60s/70s pop, Psychedelic Rock, singer songwriter and, especially for night outs, electro and techno.
A random collection of artists I like: Pink Floyd, The Doors, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Bonobo, Detroit Swindle, Bon Iver, Snarky Puppy, Jacob Collier,...
Films:
Victoria, Her, Into the Wild, We the Animals
Books:
George Orwell, 1984; Patrick Süskind, Das Parfum; Khaled Hosseini, A Thousand Splendid Suns; William Morris, News from Nowhere; Rebecca Solnit, A Field Guide to Getting Lost
Teach, Learn, Share
In my opinion, every talk with a person makes you learn so much, be it experiences other people have made, actual facts about a topic or simply another person‘s point of view on life.
I could also share some vegan dishes, music skills or anything you want to know about German culture.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Positive energy and smiles.
