I'm currently doing my PhD in organizational psychology in Houston, TX. Originally from Iran and moved to Turkey and then the U.S. as a refugee when I was very young. Although I grew up in the U.S. most of my life, I have a very multicultural background that's always influenced my perspective of the world and fueled my love for connecting with people from different cultures and countries! I value authentic relationships and feel as though we can not only learn from eachother's differences but also find common ground and similarities because we're all human at the end of the day :)

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I love meeting locals and getting an authentic experience of wherever I visit as well as offering the same for anyone whose in my town. Though I may not be able to offer you a place to stay at the moment, I'm always up for showing people around Houston and making new friends . I use Couchsurfing because I think it really helps bring people together and fulfill our essential need for human connection :-)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you all about psychology and have a vast interest/knowledge in all types of music, dance, art, cuisine, history, adventures and much more - I have no doubt that we'll find something we both share an interest in!
What I Can Share With Hosts
Though my expertise is not in therapy/clinical psychology, I'm a pretty good listener and advice giver and love to help people work through their problems, be their best selves and live their best lives :) I'm also always open to trying new experiences and will happily provide you company in whatever you'd like to do!
