Overview
About Me
I love life. It's awesome. I try to make the best of every situation even if it seems like nothing good can come out of it.
I love to travel (like everyone else on CouchSurfing I would hope!)
I grew up on a farm so I love animals, ride cutting horses, and for some reason I love to train them too which sometimes results in injuries.
I love music and dancing, photography, sports, and love to curl up with a good mystery book.
I'm not trying to brag when I say I'm a fantastic cook and baker and I will cook for anyone who loves to eat. Even if you don't love eating, once I make something, you'll eat it and you'll love it :)
Lastly, I love meeting new people from all over the world!
"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." - Confucius.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love CouchSurfing and after my first experience surfing in Europe, I will gladly do it for any trip I take from now on. People are awesome.
Interests
I spend my time working a lot to save money for traveling. In my time off I ride cutting horses, play piano and bass guitar in a band, and spend as much time as I can outdoors! In the summer that means wakeboarding, water skiing, baseball, and camping. In the winter it's snowboarding and hopefully one day going winter camping.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love books. Some of my personal favourites: The Hunger Games, The Help, Harry Potter, King Raven Series, The boy in the striped pyjamas, Night, Water for Elephants... and many more!
Movies: Band of Brothers, Flags of our fathers, The Italian job, Ocean's 11, American Outlaws, The A Team, The Pacific...
Music - Whatever I'm in the mood for at the time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One? Is that even possible? Here's three:
1. Slept in a tent on the Great Wall of China and watched the sunrise.
2. Went skydiving with an amazing couchsurfer who stayed at my place.
3. Did a horse trek to an alpine lake way up in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan.
Teach, Learn, Share
The key to success is to be willing to learn, willing to admit you don't know everything, willing to work hard, and willing to have fun while you're doing it.
They key to failure is to refuse to go the extra mile and then complain about how you're not getting promoted or getting the job you want.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love photography and I like to think that I'm not that bad. So if you'd like to get your photo taken, I could really use the practice! And if you know something about photography yourself it would make it even more fun :)
