About Me
Sorry to set conditions, but I don't want you to get wrong expectations. I've noticed there's a lot of surfers not reading any profiles. Of course it takes time to read all profiles but it also takes time and energy to host people. It takes even more energy if it turn out there's no bonding and the surfer will be sleeping at your house. So please read my profile before sending a request and please read the conditions.
I'm not hosting over the weekends. And during the weeks I'm leaving my home around 07.15 I got no spare key so you'll leave with me at 07.15.
I'll only accept people with references. If you don't have references I'd recommend to host people before you go travelling. Quid pro quo ;)
In the section "what I can share" you can find more conditions.
About me (finally)
I'm a busy student. During the week I need to wake up early in the mornings. Don't expect much time to spend with me, but I usually like to spend evenings with you.
In my spare time I like to go snorkeling/ diving, indoor climbing, meet friends, be politicly active.
I was a little depressed because I broke up a 5,5 year relationship in June 2015. That's why I started hosting Couchsurfing, to build up new experiences. After about a year things have settled a little bit. Now a year after the breakup I've learned to be more independent. It's been quite a struggle, but I think I'm more stable now.
I've travelled to different places as you can see in the list below.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I broke up with my ex-girlfriend in June 2015. We've been together for 5,5 years. I'm currently living in the apartment we've spent 2,5 years together. Since I've hosted Couchsurfers I've created a lot of new experiences, my house feels more like my own.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
I've been a teenage punk. Once in a while I still like the good strong punksongs. Since I'm growing older my taste in music is changing. Lately I like classic rock, but poppy deep house, drum and bass too. I got a Spotify account and like to listen to the music of couchsurfers too.
Movies:
Too much, usually the drama/ art house.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiking the Alps.
What I Can Share with Hosts
What I can offer:
- A nice mattress and clean sheets.
- A nice bakery around the corner. People consider the bakery selling the best whole wheat bread of town. I usually get breakfast there. Sharing costs I can get breakfast for you too.
- A place in walking distance (30 minutes) to the citycentre.
- Cheap bike rental (2max. 5eu/day 10eu from the 4th day)
- I'm thinking of buying public transportationcards for couchsurfers. I'll ask 2eu/card and to return it when you're leaving. A regular card will cost 10eu or you're only buying expensive singles/daytickets. So far I haven't bought the cards yet.
- Company to museums
I'm really sorry to set some conditions but I realise that not every couchsurfer I've hosted came with the same expectations.
- I don't want to give my address to random people on the internet so I'd rather meet somewhere before letting you into my home.
- I have no spare key. You got to leave with me and get home when I am at home.
- During the week I usually wake up at 06.30 and go to bed at 22.00-23.00. I'd like you to go to bed at the same time.
- In the evening I usually like to have dinner with Couchsurfers and hang out (and go to bed in time). When I'm in a good mood we can spend a longer evening together.
- I won't host couples.
(More in the section "my home")
I feel like I'm really lucky to stay in the place I'm living and you should too. Please respect my conditions.
Consider me as a friend. Worst thing you can do to me is treating me like I'm working in a hostel just for you.
