Overview
About Me
I'm originally from the Adirondack Park of Upstate NY, the largest state park in the Continental United States (roughly the same size as Vermont or bigger than Yellowstone, Glacier, Grand Canyon and the Great Smokey Mountains combined). My dad got me into backpacking when I was six, along with that came canoeing, biking, and the urge to seek adventure. I've been a River Guide on the Hudson River for 6+ years as well as a Ski Patroller at a local resort for 3, before deciding to take off to Grand Junction, CO last winter. I Patrolled at Powderhorn for a season and then had the opportunity to raft the Cataract Canyon with CMU. After another season on the Hudson, I decided to travel the United States for the winter. I've spent a month in Boise where I traveled throughout the state of Idaho including the Sawtooths and many Hot Springs. Then I headed South through Nevada into Salt Lake City where I spent another month exploring and planning for a road trip down the coast of California (and the journey getting there).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting new people on any journey is half of the fun! But most of the time, that short talk we had on the trail was too short. If only we had more time!
Interests
I love white water kayaking, from play boating on a wave to steep creeks or BIG water. Also love rafting whether I'm in my office, scaring my friends or doing a long trip that seems to never end. My other interests are biking, backpacking, traveling and a bit of climbing.
