About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Staying in Slovakia

ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in a small town in the eastern part of Slovakia. The town I come from (Medzev) is very special. People here speak an almost extinct language called Mantakish, which is an old german dialect that settlers brought 700 years ago. We still speak mantakish at home.
After studying in Prague for 3 years, I moved to Vienna to continue my studies and find a job. After more than 2 years I decided to quit my job and fulfill my dream of travelling the world.

I´m an outgoing person, who loves to spend time with his friends and family. I love to experience new cultures and traditions and learn about them. I love to make friends with people all around the world!

PHILOSOPHY

I think the world can get better if people try. In my life I want to work on this.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

During my travels I surf to better understand the culture. As a tourist, staying in a hostel, you never get the real experience of a culture and you never learn any tricks about traveling in that country.
During my studies in Prague and Vienna, I hosted everytime it was possible. First, to transfer the kindness of my previous hosts to my guests and secondly, to also learn about new cultures and help people who were visiting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I´ve been couchsurfing pretty much everywhere. I met tons of amazing people, most of them are good friends of mine. I just love to meet new people and places, experience their culture, traditions and opinions. I´m looking forward to make friends with all those awesome people around the world. I like openminded and enthusiastic people, that know what they want to reach in life.

Interests

I like sports, hiking, hitchhiking, spending time with friends and discussing about all those interesting issues of the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I´m amazed by the movie Into The Wild, because it leaves so many messages about life and society. I also liked the Catcher in the Rye and I read some of the Russian classic Novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I love traveling and visiting countries, which are not that touristy so far. I also like to travel on my own, what makes me talk to locals more often and thinking about life itself. It cleans your soul.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share knowledge about politics and economics. International or domestic. I can explain people how to understand politics in central or eastern Europe. Corruption and clientelism are things that such countries fight against without any bigger success.
