About Me

I am a surfer, host, wanderlust, cyclist, yogi, hiker, and aspiring speaker of Spanish living in Morristown, Arizona after living the majority of my life in the Milwaukee area and briefly in Baja California, Mexico. I'm employed at a luxury resort in the serene Arizona desert, where we focus mind and body wellness. We encourage our guests to reconnect from the electronic devices in order to reconnect with themselves. We offer farm-to-table food, yoga, meditation, tai-chi, massages and natural hot springs all in a quiet and dark desert oasis.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm ready to pursue my lifelong goal of travelling the United States and the world. I see couchsurfing as an opportunity to fulfill those goals on a minimal budget while providing that same opportunity to others.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have an eclectic taste in music. This includes jazz, Motown, blues, country, bluegrass, metal and everything in between! If I had to sum up my musical tastes with one band--The Grateful Dead. One of my favorite hobbies is attending concerts--something I've done thousands of times!

I enjoy reading mostly non-fiction, but need to incorporate more fiction and science fiction into my repertoire. I try to read two books at a time--something heavy and down the rabbit hole balanced by something lite and easy to read.

Books I'm reading right now:
"Will Travel For Vegan Food: A Young Woman's Solo Van-Dwelling Mission to Break Free, Find Food, and Make Love" by Kristin Lajeunesse
"War is a Racket" by Major General Smedley Butler

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watched the final sunset of 2018 over the Pacific Ocean in Manuel Antonio National Park in Costa Rica.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm currently learning Spanish and I desire to learn more about sustainable living, homesteading, and reducing my carbon footprint.
