My favorite word:一期一会 (every day and every moment are once-in-a-lifetime opportunities.)
I am a corporate interpreter and translator and my job includes some oversea projects. My TOEIC score is 920. We have visitors from Asian nations such as Cambodia and Vietnam. I help them during their stay in Japan. It was a part of my job and I enjoy myself.
Cause I learn English in England still love UK and created website. Since 2015, I visited UK every year (London and other cities) and went many places such as Cotswold's, Cardiff and Hadrian's Wall, Durham, York, Exeter, Birmingum ... (Stay in hotel not couch-surfing but would like to CS next!)
I've been living in Fukuoka almost all my life except about two years in UK. I love travelling, eating-out and visiting hot-springs & shrines. I also write blogs mainly Fukuoka's restaurants. If you want to eat reasonably-priced food, please feel free to ask me or go together!
My blog includes lots of photos and pricing info. It might be useful for you if you are visiting Fukuoka.

I also started London photo blog. It's really fun for me. http://blog.livedoor.jp/mari657671-london/
If you want to hang out, please contact me at least one day before as my office is a bit far from Fukuoka city.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Usually I travel at hostels or guesthouses cause I can meet and talk many people all over the world. If I stay local's home I can learn culture and way of life more. So Couch-surfing must be exciting and interesting. Also, I would like to visit places where locals visit. Not only famous sight seeing spots.
I live company condominium, one-room studio flat in Kitakyusyhu city (Kokura station), Fukuoka prefecture.
I would like to be a Host, but it might be difficult in this place... No TV, No air-conditioning and No bed. It is one-room and kitchen and probably manage to stay only one person (female only) (sharing one room). I've got a sleeping bag, so if you just wants to avoid sleeping on a pavement, it might be OK? If you're female and do not mind that, you're welcome.
My co-workers live in the same place (other rooms) you should be nice to them cause I work with them.
Note:I do not share bathroom and kitchen with co-workers. Every room has own bathroom and kitchen.
My condominium is near Itouzu zoo park, so if you're interested, we can go together! (I've never been there.)
Interests
I enjoy watching English dramas such as Sherlock, Merlin,Chuck, Castle, Criminal mind, NCIS, etc... I like spy, SF, fantasy, criminal and action dramas (films also).
Since Junior High, I love anime and Manga and still watch or read them. My favorite recent animes are Gundam, Bungo Stray Dogs, Barakamon, Kuroko's baskceball, Gekkan syujo nozaki-kun, Noragami, Natsume Yujin Cyou, Saiyuki Blast (Journey West) etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Volunteered in school in UK all over from Japan by myself (Faversham, Kent and Eastwood in Nottingham) *Check my pix. People in UK are very nice and friendly especially kids. I had many good memories and still enjoy travelling there!
After study in UK (London) I created my website about London and it boasts nearly 60000 visitors.
Since 2015, I started London photo blog and I really enjoy editing it! I put Google route map and adding lots photos. It already has over 30000 visitors and some of them dropped comments.
Organizing Free CS events (Asahi beer factory visit) many times since 2016 August!

Teach, Learn, Share
I am fluent in English and teach English in my office. I am an interpreter and translator so even tricky stuffs I can translate and help.
In UK, I taught Origami and simple Japanese. I introduced Japanese culture to students. Some students tried Kimono (Japanese costume like gown).
I like cooking and baking cakes.
I will show you around Fukuoka.
Photos with couch-surfers visiting Fukuoka. We strolled temples & shrines, Asahi beer factory includes tasting, then shared late lunch at Hankyu food court and bumped into an owl cafe. :) (15/Oct/2016)
