关于我
Hello, thanks for taking a peak at my profile.
I try to spend half of the year in Canada and the other half in Southern Croatia, I travel back and forth. I can host either in Toronto (Canada) or in my mom’s beachside house in Croatia (close to Dubrovnik in Dalmatia) or if the timing allows, you could join on my Dufour sailboat, in the Adriatic Sea.
In real life, I work as a cinematographer and Steadicam operator, traveled and learned from people in different parts of the world. A lot of the travels were work related. If I'm traveling with work, the nicest part kicks in after the work is done and there is some time to get a feel for people, how they think, what they like to do, or what they can teach me about music they listen, what they find important in their lives and their surroundings, their geography or history and what they like to talk about, share and show to others.
... during my travels, I was blessed that one of my first big trips was to Chile (for Festival de Viña) where I was pleasant surprised with friendliness and warmth of Chileans. Maybe because I had relatively low expectations of Chile during my 1st visit in 2002, it’s always nice to experience something that exceeds any expectations. Chile is safe, cultural and friendly, not a traditional corrupt Latin country it is lovely passionate beautifully diverse, “slow pace” country at the end of the world that might have not yet been spoiled with a large influx of tourists. Also a world class ski resorts.
Met different people during my travels and learned a little-bit from everybody. For me, a good day is when I lean something new.
I grew up in Europe, moved to Canada as an athlete in mid 90-ies. I try to be active, run triathlons, swim and play different team sports, I love Salsa. Picked up surfing during one of the visits to Pichilemu, Chile 🏄♂️
I am not an early morning person, but guests are free to get up any time, free to come and go as they please. My day starts after a morning cappuccino. You can join me.
In Toronto, I drive an Electric Vehicle, a Segway and ride a bike, trying to reduce my environmental footprint. I think environmental changes caused by a rapid climate change are the biggest challenge that we will face in our time.
In Croatia, I ride a Vespa.
I’m interested in hosting all the travellers that understand a “concept of couchsurfing” or have opened their doors to other travellers.
If you just setup a profile and you didn’t take time to describe yourself or your interests, I will decline your request.
Winter 2024 - Toronto Update:
I traveled to many different countries, and I believe that Toronto was one of the best cities to live in or to visit. But (in my opinion) the city is decaying and going downwards since the pandemic. Less artists can make living in the city, less artistic or cultural events since the pandemic. Crazy high costs of housing and rents are totally disconnected from the salaries that most people earn. Canadian economy was badly mismanaged for some years and presently in Toronto (December 2024), the unemployment rate is 9-10%. That’s crazy high unemployment, all this makes Toronto nowadays somewhat sad place, when compared to the city’s vibrant years before the pandemic.
我为什么加入 Couchsurfing
Learning something new every day and sharing what I have with others gives me a satisfaction, makes a world better by bringing us closer together. Couchsurfing truly works best if both parties benefit in some way. I'm friendly, open minded, interested in meeting new people, I’m curios, outgoing, respectful and love hearing interesting stories. I believe that everyone has something to teach me in one way or another.
I will look into hosting anybody that has created a reasonable informative profile on this website and has hosted others in the past. Short notice Couchsurfing requests are good as my schedule can be over the map.
If you are sending me a couch request, please try to let me know:
- what brings you to the city
- what are your plans or what would you like to do during your stay.
If you expect me to open my door and give you my house keys, then please tell me some basics.

教,学,和分享
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, totally worn out, shouting "...holy S#(%#)*$ ...... what a ride!"
我可以与沙发主分享些什么
I think a host and a traveller should gain some benefits from a couchsurfing experience. I would like to find a way to show my appreciation for somebody hosting me, be it through a good conversation and sharing experiences, or simply cooking a meal for my hosts. But I’m OK if all you can offer would be a place to crash and recharge.
I have a strong technical background, building and fixing mechanical or electrical things, good with tools, practical understanding of how things work. If I’m coming to your home, please think about a list of things that need improving or fixing.
