CURRENT MISSION

To break into the music industry as a singer-songwriter. I currently sing my covers of all time hits as well as current hits 4-6 nights a week at O'Hare Airport - hallways to the terminals if coming out of (or heading to) the Blue Line train station. Modesty aside, I sing well.

Penultimate goal: land a full time career in singing be it at a piano bar, cruise ship, etc.

Ultimate goal: create great original music and share it to the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate in CS by hosting most of the time. I try to provide memorable couchsurfing experiences to my guests and hosts as much as I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I´ve hosted so many times already: first 3 times in Sitges, Barcelona (Spain), then 4th one at my beach house in Limasawa Island (Philippines), then the rest here in Chicago. I have only been a guest CSer less than a dozen times. I had one crazy couchsurfer who I had to throw out even before I could host him for the night. Ask me about it! It's quite funny and at the same time irritating! Be sure to ask me some of the extremely funny and weird hosting experiences that I've had.

Interests

Singing (country, pop, pop-opera, jazz, RNB, disco, slow rock, gospel), dancing (i like to dance to most dance tunes actually although my big favorites would be those from the 80s and 90s), Learning languages (Currently stuck on reviving my German skills. I already speak intermediate to fluent Spanish. I speak 3 languages - English, Tagalog, and Cebuano - very fluently), reading books and magazines, swimming, hiking, running, going to gym, playing chess, watching movies (adventure, sci-fiction, action, and sometimes love story), snorkelling, scuba diving, travelling, and more. I also love going to symphony orchestra concerts, opera, as well as dance shows (classical and modern ballet, jazz, dance theater, etc). I also do DSLR photography. So many things, so little time! But I guess as they say, "Busy is good"!

Music, Movies, and Books

I can listen to any pop, pop-opera, jazz, classical, disco, RNB, slow rock types of music. I like to read books with unconventional plots. I like to watch movies which are very interesting and when i say interesting they don´t have to be sensational, just interesting according to my standards - hard to explain, i just decide when i see the trailer or someone tells me about the plot and it interests me. I read mostly technical books or instructional as well as documentary. Sometimes if I find some good fiction books, I read them as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swim with whalesharks!!! And walked for 45 minutes along the streets of Chicago on a extremely chilly winter morning on my way to work! Ugh!!!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook a really good Filipino meal or prepare a very healthy and delicious salad! I can tell you stories that will make you laugh so hard that your stomach will hurt. ;-) I can help with some chores like cooking, cleaning, heavy work, etc! I can entertain you with some of my cover songs! I can teach you basic massage rules and techniques!
