About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My current mission is to broaden my horizons! I look forward to meeting new and interesting people and learning about there culture and party habits!
ABOUT ME
I am about 5'11" and 180 lbs with auburn hair, blue eyes and am very easy going. Even though I'm from Kentucky, I'm not inbred and still have all my teeth...hahaha! I feel I have a great sense of humor (which can be a bit on the vulgar/perverted side once in a while ;o), am definately an optimist, and am somewhat immature I suppose! I have a six year old son named Damian with whom I try to spend as much time as possible, especially since he lives with his mother. I also tend to get along with damn near everyone (with a few exceptions of course), which I find is a rare thing!
PHILOSOPHY
I feel life is meaningless unless you broaden you horizons by going to new places, meeting new people, and trying new things. I'm just sorry I didn't start sooner :(
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've never couchsurfed before, unless you count crashing at a friend's house after a party...ha! ha! However I'm looking forward to my experiences.
Interests
I like to swim, hike, rapel (aka abseiling), movies, music, games, parties, meet new people, dancing (even though I suck!), and karaoke (only after I've tossed back a few brews...LOL!) I like playing video games, chatting, playing chess, checkers, (almost any board game), RPG, women (goes without saying I guess), animals (especially pets that not too many people have), fishing, bonfires, poetry, I have a new love for Tim Tams, some sweets (I'm not an addict or anything), coffee on a cold winter morning, playing in the snow, sipping absinthe, fossils/archaeology, history, drawing, painting figurines, honing my survival skills, astrology/occult, documentaries (especially WW II), etc. etc. I find almost anything interesting to some degree.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite movies are action and horror, although I've been know to watch drama and some foreign films. A few of my favorite films are the Pianist, Braveheart, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Saving Private Ryan, Tombstone, The Exorcist, and the LOTR trilogy. I love comedies (mostly slapstick) such as Billy Madison (almost anything with Adam Sandler), Blazing Saddles, Bad Santa, Dodgeball, Eurotrip, National Lampoon's, anything with Jim Carrey, etc. I usually read books on history, religion (usually the occult/pagan religions written by such esteemed authors as Silver Ravenwolf, Raymond Buckland, Gerald Gardner, Scott Cunningham, etc.), and some horror/sci-fi/fantasy books such as Anne Rice, Clive Barker, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and J.R.R. Tolkien . I like Jules Verne (From The Earth to the Moon & 20,000 Leagues are my favorite), Dante's Divine Comedy (the Inferno is great), Nostradamus' quatrains (cuz you never know), H.P. Lovecraft, Edgar Allen Poe (it's amazing the effects drugs has on people..lol), Shakespeare's sonnets, Charles Dickens (A Christmas Carol is my favorite), etc, etc. I love all types of music, but especially alternative, blues, some country, a little bit of R&B, and of course rock/hard rock/heavy metal! I enjoy Godsmack, Sepultura, Pantera, the old Metallica, G-N-R, AC/DC, Linkin Park, Slayer, Nickelback, Black Eyed Peas, 4 Non Blondes, The Doors, Static X, Candlebox, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Alice in Chains, Black Crowes, Ozzy/Black Sabbath, Motorhead, Blink 182, Mary J. Blige, Bush, The Offspring, Seether, Rob Zombie/White Zombie, Ten Years, Coldplay, Disturbed, Collective Soul, Cold, Nine Inch Nails, Danzig, Tool, Pearl Jam and some various "hair-metal" bands such as Whitesnake, Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Cinderella, Tesla, etc., Dwight Yoakam, Hank Williams, Jr., C.C.R., Blues Travelers, Nelly, Ice Cube, Eagles, Faith No More, Korn, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and the list goes on and on!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing (as well as disgusting :O) thing I've seen, was watching my son being born! The most amazing thing I've done is rappeled (abseiled) from a helicopter while I was in the Army (an activity I've grown to love). I've also rappeled down a 200 foot cliff in Tennessee...I find it odd that I love to do it even though I'm afraid of heights! It's a great rush, but I wouldn't consider myself an adrenaline junkie :) I will eventually skydive, although I'm not sure when that'll be.
Teach, Learn, Share
My personal philosophy is "do as much as you can while you can!" Why do I live my life? Cuz being dead sucks :O)
