Overview
About Me
I grew up on the South Side of Indianapolis where I lived with my parents and older sister until I was 18. I then attended University of Northwestern Ohio from 2008 to 2011 Majoring in Motorsports Engineering and Alternative Fuels. In 2011 I joined the United States Marine Corps under an 0300 open contract. I attended Basic Training at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, CA. From there I attended the School of Infantry with Infantry Training Battalion and was assigned 0311 Infantry Rifleman. I broke both my feet in a later training incident and was reclassified as 2800 a year later (Communications). I then attended Digital Wideband Repair Course at Marine Corps Communications Electronics School in 29 Palms, CA for one year and was later stationed at Marine Wing Communications Squadron 28 at Air Station Cherry Point, NC for the remainder of my contract. After I returned home I started working as a Freight Broker for the largest Third Party Logistics firm in Indianapolis.
Some of the greatest men and women I've had the pleasure of serving with were from Texas. The Bravery, Spirit, and Mentalitly of the individuals I have known from Texas have had a major impact on my life and my determination to seek the most out of it. I have made several attempts to live in Texas, but because of the large population, finding consistent and decent paying employment with future opportunity has been my challenge. I have a wide range of skill sets that apply to many different fields of work. My qualifications are best suited for industries that operate near water. (High Power Communications/Logistics/Motorsports) My passion is Motorsports, my goal is to find a career path that supports a lifestyle near or on the water.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am a very free spirited individual with nothing anchoring me to any paticular region of the United States. I can fit all of my belongings into my car and love the adventure of exploring new regions and learning new cultures. I've lived in IN, OH, NC, SC, AL, CA, and Texas. So far the southern coast of Texas has a grip on my heart and I am determined to plant my stakes there despite the struggles surely ahead. I am a true believer in the value of lessons learned in unfamilar environments and I welcome any invite to any region of the United States that may pose an opportunity for me. I have very little savings, but thats part of the rush... Adapt and Overcome. Thank you for your time, please dont hesitate to reach out! -Semper Fi
