Overview
About Me
I am currently abroad, on tour in Ireland! Will not be able to host until May 25.
CURRENT MISSION
Being happy and being real, and spreading joy, and listening closely.
ABOUT ME
Hello! My name is Liat, I live in the lovely city of Eugene, OR, where I enjoy misty jogs by the river, singing harmonies with my friends, playing banjo for square dances, playing music with my boyfriend for our band, The Gossamer Strings, sewing Lingerie in my cozy home studio, and cuddling up with our cat, Sushi.
PHILOSOPHY
"there are truths all around us, and within is. they sparkle in the night sky and bloom upon the earth. they fall upon us everyday silent as snow and gentle as rain..."
(this is from a book called old turtle and the broken truth by douglass wood)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Have surfed in the U.S. and Italy, amazing! and have hosted some sweet people in my home throughout the years.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
surfed in the countryside of italy. Met sweet friends there as well. They all made me feel so welcome. Also surfed Marquette, MI, and loved it so much I decided to make my home there. Have since moved to Eugene, OR, where I have hosted a few people too. I am so grateful for my hosts generosity and I am excited to host people so I can pass on the goodness.
Interests
seeing new places, meeting new people, being home and cozy, being close to wildness, big animals, really tiny animals, laughing really hard, playing music, partner dancing, making beautiful things out of simple materials.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Leonard Cohen, Hazel Dickens, Emmylou Harris, Mandolin Orange, Pharis and Jason Romero, Hot Rize, pretty much lots of folk and roots music, but I also love most music if I find it beautiful, which I usually do. Recent fave movies are Shape of Water, Phantom Thread, Obvious Child, Godless. As for books I've been on a Sarah Waters kick recently. Loved Fingersmith and Affinity, and my absolute favorite writer is George Elliot, especially her book The Mill on the Floss.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
tiny inch worms gliding on magic silk threads, and once i saw a meteor in the atmosphere, like a gentle ball of fire, that slowly faded into nothing, and huge lighting storms are amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to teach anyone some chords on the banjo of guitar, simple knitting, good stretches, and simple harmonizing tricks. would love to learn so many more instruments, local folk songs, family stories and family recipes!
What I Can Share with Hosts
My home, some good food, a nice walk, my favorite parts of Eugene.
Countries I’ve Visited
Israel, Italy
