As far as books go my all-time favorite would have to be the 'Captain Underpants' series. But these days I'm enjoying ones focused on improving the global food system: Against the Grain, The Third Plate (Dan Barber), The Omnivore's Dilema (Michael Pollan)

2014 Florence marathon. It may not seem like much but it was a huge accomplishment for someone who used to think as a boy that competitive running was the biggest waste of time. And training for it throughout Europe was beyond a treat.
