Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING Whilst travelling in Latin America I used it to meet local people and stayed with a few folk too. I hosted a few people in Almaty and in Tbilisi too when I lived there, which has worked well, although it's difficult if I have to work long hours when guests are staying with me COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Generally good, as most people are pretty relaxed and really helpful. Hope to use it more...
Music, Movies, and Books
Foreign language films are my favourites and Shane Meadows. I don't read a lot of books, but if I'm travelling I try to read books relevant to the place I'm travelling.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
2 years travelling in Latin America was amazing! Too many things I did within that time but I'll pick out 3:- - visited a prison in La Paz, Bolivia - travelled from Panama to Colombia by boat staying on deserted islands, snorkelling and meeting the Kuna people - Climbing over 6,000m in Bolivia
Teach, Learn, Share
Treat people as you yourself would like to be treated. Try to give without any expectation of receiving anything in return. Go with the flow. Say yes, even when you may want to say no.
What I Can Share With Hosts
My place, my food, my conversation, my advice about the local area
My Interests
The great outdoors (running, biking, hiking), watching sport especially football, and music. Meditation and yoga too.
