Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living life one day at a time and wanting to share my positive attitude and energy with others.
ABOUT ME
single, non-smoker, and drink on occasion. I love to travel and meet new people. It has been said that I have never met a stranger. I am easy going and have a "live and let live" attitude. I like to hike around and normally try to avoid most of the tourist traps when possible. I enjoy cooking and sharing recipes and don't mind cleaning up after.
Have driven over most of Mexico a few times. Started going there in the early 70's. Lived in Panama for two years in the late 60's. Like to fish, play board games and cards, lay around and tan, and just sit and have discussions about most anything, especialy travel destinations. I would like to sell all my "stuff' and just head out and see some of the places I have dreamed about for years and meet new friends all over the world.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that everything happens for a good reason and we just need to be able to see the positives in every situation. Nobody or nothing can make you happy. Happiness is an inner feeling like having a cup of positive energy inside you. Hopefully it will fill up and spill over onto the people around you and you can share some of it with them. I try to make "being happy" a daily focus and deal with things that are happening around me, but not let them stress me out. everything that has happened is past and can't be changed---only learned from. you must look forward with enthuasiasm and positive energy to ejoy life to the fullest.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am not quite sure how many people want to come and visit the Ozark mountains in the beautiful state of Arkansas. It could be a place to stay on the way from one coast to the other. Or what ever else happens to happen.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have spent many nights surfing couches across the US and a few in Mexico but was not a member of any organized group like this. It was mainly with friends and friends of theirs and some people I met in restaurants while traveling. Making friends around food seems to be a worldwide way of sharing some great fellowship time and breaking bread in many cultures has greater meaning.
Interests
Cooking, hiking, fishing, wine tasting, listening to live music, dance a little, board games, card games, and of course traveling.
