ABOUT ME

Hey there, I'm Matt! I'm an enthusiastic, honest, young man with a passionate heart for meeting people, travelling, and music. I'm originally from Toronto, Canada but I spent half of my life in Vancouver.... until two years ago when I decided to take the next step and become a full-time traveller. I sustain myself mostly through the art of street performing, but also some really awesome gigs (just recently played the F1 Race in Bahrain). I've been self employed for seven years now as a musician so it's pretty much my dream job. I'm happy to show you!

Asides from an avid love of music, I enjoy a great meal after a hard work out, a long walk in an unfamiliar land, the feel of a loved one in my arms, and being overly poetic and melodramatic ;) I am a conversationalist and love to listen to the life stories of others as well as share my own!

PHILOSOPHY

Having earned a living through music for the past 7 years I have accrued many stories from the travelling I've done, the people I've met, women I've loved, and battles I've fought. I believe in the duality of the universe, masculine and feminine energy, and its governance in our lives. However I also attempt to be quite logical, analytical and rational-minded when it comes to spiritual matters. I accept others for who they are and above all, try to leave positive marks wherever I go and with whomever I meet :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm able and willing to exchange the wonderful offering of your home for the offering of my music - at the end of my visit you will have a memory of someone playing for you in your home and a couple of free CD's. I also love to cook and I do enjoy having a kitchen to putt about and work some magic. I am a bit forgetful at times but I will leave your home as I found it or better.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed in dozens of cities in countries across four continents. It has been a 99% positive experience (always leave room ;) and I have grown and made many friends from it.
