About Me
Hey there! My name is Tyler and I am currently travelling the world for as long as I possibly can. I absolutely love observing natural wonders, as well as speaking to residents of the area that I'm visiting, so that I can get a first hand account of what it's like to live there.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am trying to travel for as long as possible, and saving money whenever I can would really help with that.
A lot of my budget goes on accommodation, so having the opportunity to meet someone local to the area and thus making a new friend, as well as saving a bit of money, would be incredible!

Music, Movies, and Books
I usually listen to indie and alternative rock music, but I've been trying to explore new genres recently, so would love any recommendations!
I try to watch as many films as I can! When I was in high school, my best friend and I would get together every weekend and watch about four movies before we inevitably fell asleep, probably at about four in the morning. I still try and keep to our objective to watching as many movies as possible, so I try and head to the cinema when I have time. The latest film I've watched was Trainspotting 2, which was such a great sequel!
I'm also a massive fan of TV shows! I grew up watching 'Friends' and 'Scrubs' after school, which would help melt away any stress I had. My friends and I would also follow all sorts of programs, which we would then talk about the next day at lunch time.
I have recently been watching The Good Wife, which was a friend's recommendation, and I would say that my favourite show right now is Black Mirror - it is frightening!
I like to read as much as I can, and made sure that my kindle was crammed before I set off travelling! I'm currently reading 'The Corrections' by Jonathan Frazer, and before that I read 'Do No Harm' by the neuroscientist Henry Marsh. I'm a massive fan of non-fiction books about history and science, as well as sci-fi fiction and classic novels. 🤓
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have skydived 15,000 feet above Cairns in Australia
Teach, Learn, Share
I play guitar so I am happy to teach the host a song that they'd enjoy playing, though I am probably a little rusty since I haven't been able to play in over 10 months.
I can also teach the host how to cook a quick and easy vegan Thai red curry!
I really enjoy learning, so I am more than enthusiastic to learn anything that you would like to teach!
In terms of sharing, I could tell you some stories about the places that I have visited so far!
What I Can Share with Hosts
As a vegan, I love to cook healthy foods from scratch, such as curries, stir-fries, Mexican foods and other meat-free dishes. I would be more than happy to help out with cooking, or even make something for us by myself!
I am also a massive fan of TV shows and movies, if you haven't already noticed, so would love to show the host some of my favourites!
