What's up, I'm Tyler! I have a huge passion for the ocean and nature. I really enjoy being fully submersed in the outdoors. I love to surf or skate, I'm always down to meet some new people and explore the location.

I've just recently spent four months backpacking across east Africa down to south and have the time of my life. I can help you of your looking to go to Africa.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet locals. It's awesome having friends from all over the world. We love to explore and what not a better way to explore with somebody who lives in that area.

Interests

I absolutely Love to surf and skimboard. If you have never heard of skimboarding, youtube "skimboarding the wedge." It's extremely hard and super fun. It's always a challenge whether there's a ton of wind or a massive swell. I love to camp as well. Endless nights in the hammock by a fire reading a book or playing cards with your buddies having a few beers. I love to study the stars....although I really have no idea about the constelation.

Music, Movies, and Books

I never really enjoyed reading until this year. I had always struggled in the Language Arts section and reading was never my strongest attribute. I have read four of Jane Goodall's' books about her time in Gombe, and a few more about Africa.

As far as music goes I love reggae, It's by far my favorite. Although I love country, hip hop and pretty much everything else. I'm not really into classical or Jazz, though.
