Overview
About Me
I was born in Mount Vernon WA. Raised on my parents sailboat for the first 9 years of my life. When I wasn't in school, I was on the water sailing the great San Juans. My family and I moved to Dillingham Alaska for a few years. My mother was a travel Nurse at the time so we moved around a bit. After Alaska, we moved to Milwaukee Wisconsin so my mother could finish school for midwifery. Wisconsin was where I picked up the love for soccer and played on 3 state champ teams:) My mother had huge student loans to pay off so we moved to Window Rock Arizona. The capital of the Navajo Reservation. She was able to work for the reservation and have her loans paid in full. I was on the reservation from my freshman year in high school to my senior year. Culture shock big time!! A few years later I moved to Tempe Arizona and got my Associates in Nutrition. I worked at Banner Health for 3 years then lost my job during the recession. I decided to go back to school. All of my prerequisites transferred over for nursing. I got up to my second block of nursing, then life happened:( I didn't pass for my RN. I needed a fresh start so I moved up to Whidbey Island in Washington. I decided to purchase a boat and live on it. Here I was able to save quite a bit of money, pay off debt, and figure out what I needed to do with my life. I went back to school and got my medical assisting and EMT certification. I currently work as an ER Tech at Whidbey General Hospital. I am still living on the boat, however Im about to relocate to Bellingham for a better opportunity.
