Overview
About Me
I think a candid description of myself would be: a wandering, social loner, if there ever was such a thing. Also, sun, sea and serenity; three things I don’t go more than a month or two without lol. That’s all you really need to know about me. But otherwise, I'm a free thinking and somewhat overzealous Pan-African traveler who treasures aloneness but is also really passionate about people. Most especially, about leveling out the playing fields by empowering systematically disadvantaged people (fancy explanation for humanitarian, I know :D)
Okay, so to be honest... I'm just a pretty chill human overall. Not an avid drinker or smoker. 50% introvert, 20% faking it...30% still figuring out whether my energy is drained or boosted by social interaction.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Other than the obvious (a friend/couch in new cities I travel to), I'm really excited to meet new people with or without similar interests and exchange different perspectives

Music, Movies, and Books
Music-wise, I'm currently really loving me some Kali Uchis, FKJ, Chloe & Halle ooh and this new wave of Latino American music from the US - s/o to Cuco 💕,lol.
Movies & Books: The Color Purple is a personal favorite. I was also overly touched by the humanity on display in Schlinder's List... why don’t they make such good movies anymore ?
Will reread anything and everything by Paulo Coelho, Toni Morrison, my Dear Aunt Maya (Maya Angelou), Bessie Head, Chinua Achebe and Nuruddin Farah
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydived from 15,000 feet despite being extremely terrified of heights.

Teach, Learn, Share
I love to learn but also happy to share food, music, and my extensive book collection. I could try to teach you a recipe, or some weird skill I’ve picked up along the way
What I Can Share with Hosts
As long as things stay courteous, my home is yours to share and use. I'm open to giving what’s within my reach, but also big on personal space when needed.
Obviously, a clean bed (or air mattress), some food and basics like towels, hot shower, internet access/cable also as always available
