Overview
About Me
Hey, as I come from Germany and lived all my life in my sweet little village next to Oldenburg, I chose to study in another country, so I went to study to Vienna - the really wonderful capital of Austria. For my Erasmus Semester I lived the last half year in Guadeloupe, ultra peripherique region of the EU as a departement of France.
To describe myself I'll use some of the phrases my friends wrote me in the book, they gave me when I left Guadeloupe ;)
I have a lot of energy, as I'm full of life and laugh and I'm openminded. I love hiking, being in nature, just in general being active, and as well party :).
So I hope to meet you personally, so you can create your own image ;)!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Generally I like the idea of openminded people all over the world, who want to make people from other countries discover the world. While living in Guadeloupe I met a lot of different people, who helped me a lot and became kind of my second family. It's so easy to help others in so many ways ... And I think, that is what couchsurfing is for ... you meet people and have the oportunity to discover the world - but also you can host the world in your home to guard the atmosphere of inspiring thoughts and ways of life, ... even when you retourned to your origin.
Interests
I really like sports. As I grew up on a farm, I really like animals and I used to do equitation for a long period as well. But other sports are as well soccer, jogging, hiking and what ever comes around.
For the time not beeing active I like reading or just hanging around. And I love inspiring conversation and discussions, additionally because I'm really interested in history, ethics and politics.
I think it's quiet difficult to say something about interests in general ;) So I'm open to try new things as well, which don't occur actually as interests ... ;)

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't really know what to say about favorite music, movies and books, because there are so many great ones ... Generally it depends on the day and my mood, which kind of music and books I want to listen to/read.
There isn't one interpret, of whome I would say, that I love all of his songs. And there are so many great books ... I can't really say which one is my favorit ;) Currently it might be "Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet" ...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There are two things, I'm really glad I had the opportunity to do them.
First thing was my bicycle trip from Vienna to Nothern Germany. It was just great to feel my environment all the way home.
And the other thing is of course my semester abroad in Guadeloupe ... the Caribbean way of life, the interesting relation between France and its ancient colony create a unique feeling with so many stunning people and natural attractions, who just influenced and change my life forever.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think every person is kind of a source of these three basic human interactions. It doesn't depend on your grade of education or social status or anything else on the surface, it's just the influence of interaction which creats a benefit for you - in many different ways.
So I think that's what couchsurfing is about: Interaction of people, teaching, learning and sharing thoughts, moments, knowledge, ... with each other.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share with hosts my family, as I'm away at the moment. Our farm house is a little bit outside of Oldenburg the main city (it's really small, so it's kind of funny to say outside of the main city ;) ). As a friend of mine from NZ spent last chrismas with my family and me, I can say, that it was really great discovering my hometown again through the eyes of somebody extern :).
Even if I'm not there, my father is just an awesome person. He used to travel a lot on his own and right now he spends a lot of his time on his second farm in Russia. My sister still lives at home and is really cool. She has two horses, which are just around the corner - so it's sure you're going to see some animals when you stay with us. Both of my family members are fluent in English. I can really admit, that my family is super cool with foreigners. They don't have prejudices and there's always a free place for everybody :).
