ABOUT ME
Hey there.
I grew up in Indiana, traveled/worked in Australia with my best friend for 4 months, migrated to Arizona for a couple years, and found myself teaching English in Korea. That's what i'm currently doing. I've had over 20 jobs in my life, so I highly doubt it's what I'll continue doing once I leave.
I have one more trip (to China) before I head back home to the States for a while. Help me make it a good one?
PHILOSOPHY
Getting offended is one of the most useless human endeavors, closely followed by worrying too much.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had a roommate for a while who wasn't comfortable with hosting, and don't get too many requests on here for some reason, as you can see my humble pageview count. However when I get back to the states I plan on hosting a bunch!
2010 - Courchsurfed in Thailand for 10 days with a great guy named Iain and met some awesome people!
2011 - I have couchsurfed with 3 different people in Beijing so far and hope to continue doing so on my way to Xian and Shanghai!
Interessi
Reading - namely about science, religion, and philosophy. I love fiction, but it is a drug that consumes me like no other. I try to balance it with non-fiction as often as I can.
Hiking - you can't keep me off a mountain. I'd really like to hike the Great Wall for a day or two (or three! or four!) while i'm in China, without having to pay-out-the-ass with a tour group.
Astronomy - really got into this since coming to Korea. Since stars don't actually exist in Korea, I am bristling with anticipation to go back home, buy a telescope and star chart, and go to town.
Evolutionary Biology - evolutionary theory, when properly applied to everything you see, is almost more mind-blowing than the cosmos. Love thinking and educating on the matter where and when I can.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
I think the coolest thing I ever did was randomly get taken on a rainforest hike with a local named 'Boy' with a group of about 5 other foreigners in Pai, Thailand. It was amazing, he led us to a hidden waterfall where we swam and enjoyed some, uh, local herbs. On the hike back it started to rain even though it was fully light outside and the rain through the jungle was breathtaking.
