ABOUT ME

I have worn a lot of hats in my life... I have been a Mormon, a father, a Boy Scout leader, and now a free thinking, adventurous atheist. I enjoy figuring out the public transportation system of new towns and finding Ma and Pa cafes. Hearing a cover band sitting on a Skoolie in the Arizona desert is my perfect night.

I enjoy swapping stories with people that have walked different paths. Preparing and sharing a meal with new friends brings me joy. I am a retired military officer and Southwest Airlines pilot. I am friendly and tolerant.

Flying, Biking, Sailing, Reading, Piano/Guitar, Running, Live Music and Traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most movies. I use NetFlix to watch TV series like Breaking Bad, True Blood and Weeds. I have a large DVD collection of flicks like Kill Bill, Kick Ass, Lonesome Dove, Titanic ... I like Top 40 and Country Music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have over 20 years of military and civilian flying experience. I have flown the 737, A-10, T-37, T-6 and KingAirs. I have owned several sailboats: Westsail 32, SeaPearl 21, Catalina 22, Hobie 16 and a Sunfish. I have traveled all over the world but there is still so much to see and do....

One favorite memory is learning to fire the 30 MM cannon of the A-10, I was so excited I forgot to release the trigger during my safe escape maneuver and sprayed rounds all over the Arizona desert. My bad...

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a teacher by nature and love to learn new things from others. Right now I am studying Spanish and learning to play guitar. I am a pilot, sailor, computer geek, skeptic, and hiker.
