About Me

"Степи, степи, горы, лошадь,
Я иду искать себя"

After becoming a psychologist in 2018, I've moved back to my home town and I have been saving money to go backpacking in Europe. I bought a ticket to Rome, but I gotta get the plane back to Brazil in Moscow and I still don't know what cities I'm going to visit on my way. I'm staying 48 days in Europe!

The first time I went travelling abroad, I was a 24 year old, now I know I can be a much better guest. I guess I can say I am an experienced couchsurfer, have had many good experiences, some not so good.

I am an introvert that oftentimes gets very talkative. I love languages, I have studied them almost every single day since I became 18. Other than that, I am always learning small things about science in general.

I love sports, like playing more than watching. My favorite are football and basketball. I practiced taekwondo for many years and even had my own taekwondo gym with some friends, but I haven't practiced for some years. To be honest, lately I've been all about computer games, I love them too. The thing is I haven't found the people to play any sports with since I got back here, always too busy working.

As a traveler I gotta admit that the thing I enjoy the most is to be able not to think about my everyday worries, the unpredictability, the shortage of resources, the need to find a way around the problems that pop up. I would rather do things than visit places, in fact, I'm not really into sightseeing.

I haven't hosted any people for some years. We had some bad experiences back in Floripa and the guys who lived with me decided that they didn't want couchsurfers in our house anymore. It seems to me that at the beginning, Couchsurfing was a place filled by kind-hearted, bold people. As the not so trusting people began to see that it's indeed safe, we have more and more freeloaders. Now I'm living with my mother but I'll move out in February and I'm really looking forward to host some nice people visiting my beautiful hometown.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because my friend Vesela told me about it back in 2008, when I created my first profile, then I lost the password. By the time I didn't see many chances of travelling, but I found the idea of hosting people from other countries simply amazing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really don't watch movies or Netflix or anything, haven't read any interesting books in the past years, but my favorite has to be Contact, by Carl Sagan.

Yesterday I went to work listening to N'Sync and came back listening to The Smiths, go figure.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I starred in a theater play, the place was full! There are a lot of things I did that are more remarkable and felt really good, but nothing ever felt better than that.

Teach, Learn, Share

It seems to me I always learn a lot when interacting with other couch surfers. There are many things I know, especially on languages, and I'm always glad when I can help people learn them, but I think that the best lessons one can have on CS come from interacting with unique people and from the unusual situations with which you have to deal.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well, I have helped, and I'm willing to help with what might be necessary, or what seems reasonable. Just let me know in advance.
