About Me

"Do good for others, it will come back in unexpected ways"
Instagram: valeriafusco
Hi everyone! My name is Valeria Fusco, I was born and raised in Mexico City, where I have lived almost my whole life. My mother is mexican and my father was italian. I consider myself as an easy-going, open minded person, always willing to listen to new stories, people, and points of view.
My friends and family mean everything to me.
Im in love with Mexico and all the folklore and history it has, plus the food, the music, and natural landscapes,
but I am also interested in visiting as many places as possible.
I love spending time with my friends and family, reading, taking photos and learning new things. I also enjoy music a lot and I have a very random taste for it, so my playlists can go from Pink Floyd, The Kooks, Slipknot to Chet Faker, Kanye West and "Reggaeton".
I also love photography so I enjoy taking pictures of new and beautiful places.
I love making new friends and meeting new people, and I think that life is an adventure so we must enjoy every single day the best we can, and traveling gives us that opportunity :)
I failed at pretty much everything I described before, ended up with a 9-5 job, so now I am traveling and working remotely to find a better life balance. I work as a PM for a tech company :)
So those would be the main reasons why I love traveling so much.
I consider myself a funny person, so I will probably will make you laugh a lot.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find traveling one amazing experience. I've learned more about life, geography, history, and everything by this than I ever did at school. I love how much you can learn about people by traveling and how much can you teach me.
I want to share stories, experiences, life, and everything with my couch surfers. None of my trips would have been the same without the amazing people I have met along the way and all the stories they had to share. I believe most of the people here are my kind of people, open-minded, beautiful on the inside, and have a whole lot to offer without expecting anything but a smile and your company in return.
I can't picture my trips being the same if i had stayed at a hotel or didn't leave things to chance.

Interests

I love jogging or running, I try to eat pretty healthy but when I'm on vacation and knowing new places it doesn't matter hahaha.
I also love spending time with my beloved ones.
Taking photos.
I also enjoy reading a lot, but sometimes I don't find enough time to do it.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite band EVER is Pink Floyd, but I have very very random music taste, so here are some of the artists I love too: Chet Faker, Disclosure, Flume, Kaytranada, Alina Baraz, 3 Doors Down, Daughtry, Slipknot, The Kooks, Arctic Monkeys, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Coldplay, Linkin Park, U2, A$AP Rocky, Akon, 50 Cent, Eminem, Cultura Profetica, Depeche Mode, Dream Theater, Kanye West, Empire of the Sun, Michael Buble, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra....etc etc the list could go on(Progressive Rock, Rock, Alternative Rock, Jazz, Reggae, Reggaeton, Pop, Electronic,etc..., but music is one of the things I enjoy the most and make me feel alive.
My favorite book used to be Harry Potter, but then I grew up and even though I think is amazing my favorites books are The White Tiger and 100 años de soledad by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
My favorite movie is The Wall (Pink Floyd) eternal Shining of a spotless mind, shutter island, Candy, Requiem for a Dream, Trainspotting, La vita é bella,Love actually, the help, Star Wars, Snatch, Fight Club, Lord of the Rings, and I enjoy Martin Scorsese's, Christopher Nolan and Quentin Tarantino movies in general.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well is hard to chose. The best experiences I had lately have been skydiving on my 21 birthday, my "Erasmus" in Istanbul, the places I visited across China and all the trips I made during that semester.

Teach, Learn, Share
