Have travelled in 43 countries, worked and lived in 8. After living in capital cities abroad, I never expected to spend these last 4 years in Ventura, CA ... Ah, but for my wonderful 10 year old fixed female kitty, Tig’r 3. . Life is unpredictable, n’est-ce pas? While I’ve sequentially worked on different entrepreneurial ventures, which have aborted, and an entertainment project - - so access to Hollywood is important...

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
A dear friend used this site when she was between homes and in the process of renovating and renting her house in Half Moon Bay. She met some fun and interesting people. It helped her thru a challenging period in her life ... From 1990 to 1994, I owned and lived in my 2 bed / 2 bath in the Pruneyard. In 1994, I left Silicon Valley to work for UNICEF in NYC, then moved to Paris, France as an IT Consultant in the IT Directorate at the OECD (Organization of Economic Development) in France. President Bush reduced the payment schedule to the UN & other International Agencies, and I returned to the US , since my mother was cancer-terminal. Unfortunately, I sold my condo in 2003 - - so I left my heart in Silicon Valley.

One Amazing Thing I've Done
Wow. That’s a tough question. How about riding a horse on the beach in Lagos, while my body guard sat with a rifle in the car watching to make sure nothing happened to me? I was chewed out by my male companions for having taken such a risk. An American had been snatched from the Hyatt close to our hotel, which had barbed wire all along the front entrance. 2 guards with serious fire power constantly watched the entrance. Each had a booth in which they could stand protected. It was hot as Hades & I was advised to not wear anything provocative.

Good stories about the idiotic things I’ve done in my life and thus why I’m no longer able to put people up in the properties I used to own.
What I Can Share With Hosts
Stories / adventures I’ve had in various parts of the world. In general, fun, geo / political conversation, British humor. More than local knowledge, for an ‘American’. I can help shop, cook, clean up after meals.
