About Me

I recently moved back to Boston after spending most of 2014 living and teaching English in Malaysia. I love to travel! While I was in Malaysia, I took every chance I had to travel around South East Asia and I've met many amazing people. I also took advantage of the beautiful tropical reefs and got my PADI open water and advanced open water certifications and am actively seeking opportunities to use these!
I love being outdoors and am always up for an adventure!

Interests

I love learning about new people and cultures, and am often taking a Coursera class related to health. I really enjoy DIY projects, photography, and reading great books! I love being outdoors and some of my favorite outdoor activities are: running, reading, hiking/trekking (depending on what part of the world), scuba diving, and skiing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I have a wide range in musical taste, I listened to country a lot while I was living abroad. My parents raised me to love Van Morrison and James Taylor, and when I'm running or working out I like listening to up-beat pop songs.
Movies: I'm not a big movie watcher, but some of my favorite movies are: The Blindside, Blood Diamond, and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
Books: The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg, Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert, The Defining Decade by Dr. Meg Jay, The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt, The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, The Gift of Rain by Tan Iwan Eng

Teach, Learn, Share

I have quite a bit of actual teaching experience (Maine, Spain, and Malaysia) which has made me very aware how other people learn. I also love to bake!
I'm an open-minded person who loves to learn about other people's life experiences.

What I Can Share with Hosts
