ABOUT ME
So my name is Raf and I'm from Belgium. Still studying Applied Linguistics (Chinese, English). During the weekends I deliver pizza's which is so much fun because I only have to drive a car and listen to some music.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Met some awesome people while surfing in Hong Kong, Taipei, and Paris. It intriges me that people let someone sleep at their place while they don't know each other. Makes me feel that humanity isn't a lie.
Interests
Chinese language, music, friends, hotpot (the best food, in my opinion)
Don't ask me why I've a flamingo on my arm, the reason why was because of the origami and I was in Japan, so it was a match.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music
Kodaline, The Vengaboys (so glad that they're back), The XX.
There is one song from One Directon that has a lot of memories for me, and that song is Fireproof. Don't blame me, it's the jam of me and the Belgians who were studying in China in 2014.
Movies
I prefer Dutch movies.
Jurassic Park, Step Brothers, Finding Nemo, Life of Pi, Scream Movies, The Hangover, Up, Horrible Bosses, Lucy,, The Girl Next Door, and many more.
Books
I'm not really a reader. There are just a few books I think are great to read.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There are a few amazing things I've done:
Went to the grasslands in China, for me it's the most beautiful place in the world.
The Great Wall (which wasn't that awesome),
Went to the Berlin Zoo to see Knut the polar bear, the Berlin Wall, ..
The most awesome thing I've done was living in Asia, I studied Chinese in Xi'an, China for 5 months and after that I went to Taichung, Taiwan for 5 months. How can I say I did not enjoy that?
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, China, Croatia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan
Countries I’ve Lived In
