About Me

I started working as a communication systems and security engineer in Brussels after finishing my bachelor's and master's in engineering from KU Leuven in Sept'23.
I love meeting new people and getting to know them at a personal level. I find people to be very interesting since every person has something to teach and incredible life stories to share. Welcoming people in my place or staying with them while traveling is a great way for me to expand this interest of mine. Also, travelling a place through a native's perspective is a totally different experience. After visiting more than a dozen countries, I no longer find it interesting to visit monuments and historical sites. For me travelling has become about connecting with locals, exploring their lifestyle and trying the local cuisine.
I came across CouchSurfing by watching Tomislav Perko's Ted talk about how he travelled the world with almost no money. His Ted talk inspired me to join CouchSurfing and travel the world solo one day on a long term adventure. So, one of the objectives behind me hosting people in my apartment is to one day visit them in their home country.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I started running once the lockdown started back in March 2019. Gradually, it became a stress buster and a form of meditation for me. Just like everyone, I like being competent at what I do so I gradually started increasing the distance of my run from 5 km to 30km.
in April 2022, I successfully finished a full-length marathon (42.2 km) without stopping for a single moment.
