About Me

I am an introvert, bordering ambivert, who currently lives in Battambang, Cambodia. I am a combination of many things. I am into adventure, political discussion, traveling, music, and definitely a 100% couch potato.

I love travelling and meeting new people. I love asking questions, listening to people's stories and engaging myself into in-depth conversations.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For those who are going to Battambang, I have a space I can share with my future guests. I have been so privileged to be living in such a massive house. I'm living alone, and it would be nice sometimes to host a traveler, like myself, whenever they need to.

On the other hand, I also want to meet people whenever I travel overseas. I hope this app would also connect me to great people.

Interests

As a Filipino, it's definitely a default that I love music and singing. ~ traveling definitely excites me, one thing I realized about traveling tho is the more I keep it slow, the better experience I have. I'm into a lot of things, and definitely meeting new people is one of my interests.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading history books - currently I have been reading about Holocaust and Khmer Rogue. I have read Tattooist of Auschwitz and Diary of Anne Frank. I have yet to open other Khmer books (hope I'll make it this year) 🫶

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There's a lot but I can share one highlight:

I did 2 weeks backpacking in Europe. It was an intense backpacking experience where I traveled to Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Netherlands, Vatican, and Belgium. I was robbed once in Venice, sleepless as I sometimes had to sleep on the bus, but it was an extraordinary experience meeting new people, eating delicious food (oh the Italian food), and many more. I wanted to do it again, next time but make it slower. But what can I do: I have one of the weakest passports in the world so I gotta prepare things quite intensively but who knows what future brings 🫶

Teach, Learn, Share

I would definitely like to share, when needed, is my knowledge on peacebuilding and youth empowerment. I love working in the communities - building trusts, collaboration, and co-creation. I have been trying to connect myself with many people and try to do something together.

I am eager to learn about your experiences as an individual - how you see the world and how you do things, especially what makes you happy and frustrated in life. I'm a good conversationalist who prefers going into an in-depth conversation rather than those typical small talks.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm usually silent but conversationalist. I am happy to talk and listen, learn and share, and connect to my host on a deeper level when needed.
