About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To show folks my town in a unique vintage bus...meet the locals with me!

ABOUT ME

I grew up in the Washington DC area and graduated from James Madison University, nestled in the beautiful hills of Virginia. After graduation, I spent the first ten years of my professional career in the restaurant business learning the fine art of making people happy. For the next ten years, I was in the spa business, learning the art of getting folks to relax. Neither occupation was easy in the land of rush hours and deadlines, that we all know as the Nations Capital. During this twenty years I was always thinking of the slower paced life that I experienced in the hills of Virginia. So to be like all great explorers of our time, I packed up and moved west looking for that slower paced life and the next great adventure. Well, just like 90% of all great explorers that head to the west, I wound up doing Jeep tours!

The greatest adventure of them all started in 2006 with the birth of my first son, Charlie. In 2008 we welcomed Jack to the clan. I went from great adventurer/ jeep guide to a stay at home dad with two boys in diapers in less than two years. Talk about an adventure! Needing the extra space for my growing family I discovered the Volkswagen Bus. I am a diehard classic car guy and the idea of a minivan chilled me to the bone. The VW bus, a true classic and a symbol of the freedom that we love, could never be called a soccer mom car. Now life truly is good here in Sedona, and my past experiences have led me to my next great adventure. I started Veedub Tours to do what I truly love. That is meeting new folks and taking them out for a relaxing and entertaining time, all while driving a classic icon of the open road. Along the way you may even learn something about the local area. After all, as a Dad, I know how to lecture from the drivers seat!
