About Me

I'm Vic, an agender librarian living in the northeastern US with my cat and my partner, Angus. I love animals. I think spiders are cute. I'm 5'7 and I suffered from depression throughout the majority of my high school career. I've considered firewatching and am looking at internships around the world. I live to explore and want to learn as much as I can about the people on this Earth with me, through language barriers, a lot of confusion, and laughter.

"Where I Grew Up" isn't an easy question to answer. I moved a lot during my childhood. Going on my twentieth home in eighteen years, now, and hoping to keep that number on the rise - I don't plan on settling down for a long, long time. I've been traveling alone for a handful of years, now, and I'd like to continue doing so for as long as I can, but I also love to take people with me and create experiences together. People are beautiful and life can be if we let it.

My cat is a beautiful, middle-aged girl and my favourite and only son. She loves napping in weird positions, chasing laser pointers, chewing on erasers, and sitting in the way of whatever you're trying to do.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite movie is Howl's Moving Castle! Studio Ghibli movies (including Howl's) are wonderful!

It's easy for me to say All Quiet On the Western Front is my favourite book, but a series I keep rereading even ten years later is The Mysterious Benedict Society - I can't stop picking it up. Give it a go if you see it around! It's a delightful adventure for older children through adults alike.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been singing for a decade, and have been a member of multiple choirs! I was a member of the Grand Monadnock Youth Choir, and with them I went on tour in France! I have had training in both McClosky and other vocal techniques, know some neat tricks, and have varying levels of experience in musical instruments including guitar (acoustic / electric / bass), piano, flute, french horn, and various percussion.

I would be interested in learning how to do things like how the heck do I hacky sack? And party tricks only usable when drunk like unicycling and balancing spoons on my nose. My number one desire to learn: how to mix drinks.
