Hi there everyone, well, after over four years as a member I finally get round to writing a little about myself! Call me organised ;)

I am lucky enough to have loads of free time now as I no longer have to work. I travel a lot and spend a lot of time in France and Spain. I have spent some time too in the past in Germany and travelled to many more places including USA, Australia, Ukraine and many countries in werstern and southern Africa.

Am really looking to meet up with anyone who loves any of these activities, has a passion for walking, languages, travelling, any outdoor sports and has the time to indulge them!

Drop me a line and I will tell you where I am at any given moment (France right now for example, and back home to the UK in a couple of weeks :))

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have always had a passion for languages, travelling, running and hillwalking, most outdoor activities and love meeting up with like-minded people.

Nothing better than running with someone, taking in some great views while practising my languages, or simply sitting by a roaring log fire with a good coffee looking out on to beautiful scenery and chatting with someone interesting. No two days are the same! Can be as simple as meeting up for a coffee and practising a language :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Survived an unplanned hard landing in a Cessna on a beach in Gabon, West Africa. Tropical rainstorm meant we couldn't find the runway, or even see the airport. So had to put it down on the beach - rather hard landing! Happy to walk away...
