ABOUT ME

I am fairly quiet with an easygoing attitude and am modest to some extent. I do not mind being alone, although I do like to be with people too. I like having friends, and family is the most important thing in my life. I stand for Integrity, discipline, perfection, justice, loyalty, service to others, love of family and friends.

Here is a tribute I wrote to myself at my leadership class:

Dr. Huang has been a sincere friend since we first met at work. She is truly warm, kind-hearted and thoughtful. She is often shy and quiet among all the people at the social gatherings, but she is fairly generous in treating people. She always pays attention to the needs of others and is interested in the concerns and feelings of others.
She always sticks to her commitments and do her best to fulfill her promises. She feels a strong sense of responsibility and duty. She takes her responsibilities very seriously, and can be counted on to follow through. For this reason, as a friend and a colleague, I know I can always rely on her.
She is very passionate about her job and enthusiastic about changing people’s life, and take great pride and satisfaction from the accomplishments of her patients, friends and family. I admire her for being able to find purpose and enjoyment in her work and perform to her fullest potential by seeking out new challenges and setting new goals.
The evidence of her accomplishment is her selfless contribution to her community just by viewing how she has changed people’ life-styles and inspiring them to pursue the wellness in their lives.

PHILOSOPHY

The best way to find myself is to lose myself in the service of others.

Actually it was my Korean friend introduced this website to me when she heard that I am going to Korea alone, so I am fairly new here. I look forward to having amazing CS experience. I think it is incredible and generous of you being willing to host others at your house.

兴趣

Eating, cooking and learning.
I have a great passion for cooking and according to my friends, I am a great cook. I feel great satisfaction when seeing people enjoying eating my food so I often invite my friends over and cook for them.
I am interested in learning new languages and cultures. Currently I'm eager to master Korean, so a couple weeks ago, I started attending Sunday service at a Korean church to meet Korean friends and to learn more about the culture.

I like indie music and ballads. I love the lyrics that can touch my heart.
I like all kinds of movies except for horror movies. I am often moved to tears by movie scenes that show the loves between parents and their children and the sacrifices that parents make for their children, which always remind me how much my parents love me and how much I love them. One of my favorite movies is "I am Sam".

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I am originally from Taiwan, a small yet warm island. One amazing thing I have done is studying abroad, finding the passion and joy in learning and meeting lots of awesome people who have all become my life-time friends. I came to the US for graduate school at UT Dallas in fall, 2012 and now I'm halfway through getting my two master degrees. I also went to Korea by myself last summer and took my very first Korean class at Sogang University.
