When I was younger before this website was created, when i was travelling I prefered going with local people instead of cold hotels, even if sometimes we can meet nice travellers in some hotels. I have already used Couchsurfing several years ago as a surfer, and I wish to become a host. Futhermore, next year I plan to travel to South America with my children (and probably surf), and I would like them to meet people from different countries and nationalities here at home, for them to get familiarized with the concept.
