About Me

I've been living in South Korea for about 5 years now. There's SOOO much to do here in Seoul, I am forever a tourist ❤️ but that's a good thing, because I love exploring this city. I'm often looking for like minded people to join my explorations around the city.

I've done my fair share of solo backpacking, couch surfing, work aways, and so on.

-grew up in Alabama on a dirt road (howdy y'all 🥜🍻🚜).
-lived in Georgia for about a year (გამარჯობა👋🏼)
-studied in Costa Rica for 6 months with a host family (pura vida🌊)
-worked on farms in New Zealand & Australia for about 6 months (g'day mate🥝🐨)
-got trapped in Bulgaria for 6 months (Здравейте 👋🏼)
-settled in Korea (안녕🇰🇷)

I'm a female married to a male. No kids or pets. We aren't hosting through couchsurfers anymore, rather be welcome and couchers. It's just my husband's profile. I can't be bothered to put his links here. So if fate brings you to him, you can request.

I used to have a lot written in my profile, but I'm gonna bring the profile down to the basics.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I am truly amazed and grateful at how open and loving the CS community really is. I have already made lifelong friends.

The lifestyle of a true CSer is one I lived before I knew Couchsurfing existed. The kindness of and love of strangers that often times leads to great friendships or memorable encounters has created a globalized community of people around the world who have a shared passion for humanity and our earth.

Interests

Super into history these days. Luckily my home of 5 years, Korea, has mountains of history (you catch the pun). Shall we go on a walking tour together?

I also enjoy museums, classical music, folk music, interesting architecture, eating, hiking, walking, swimming, markets, pop ups, general city events.

Music, Movies, and Books

My lists here are endless and very diverse. Give me recommendation if you request to stay. But don't request unless it says accepting or maybe. If you do, I'm blocking you.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saw someone picking up someone else's trash.

Teach, Learn, Share

Linguistics is fun. Words and why we choose them and how we use them is something that fascinates me. I once talked with a Costa Rican for an hour about the sounds animals make in Spanish versus English, hilarious and interesting. I love language.

I'm quite happy most of the time; small things make me smile and grudges are too heavy for me to hold. I believe positive lessons can be gained from all events if life.

What I Can Share with Hosts
