CURRENT MISSION To bring the world closer thru travel. ABOUT ME I am 44...a Malaysian of indian ethnicity. Married to a wonderful man...Vik.I am a teacher...been teaching for 20 years...love it. Been teaching in an International school here in KL...best experience so far as I have children from all over the world. Vik has his own project management company. We r both fun loving people...enjoy a good natter...and good company. We rboth avid travellers...tho in Vik's case it more for work than anything else. We have no children so that gives us the freedom to travel around the world to learn about different cultures and how people live. PHILOSOPHY Its a very simple philosophy. I have but one life to lead and I want to make the most of it. I enjoy meeting people and learning about them and their cultures...the way they live. This is a brilliant way of doing that...travelling and hosting people from different countries that I may not get a chance to visit. I want to live my life to the fullest of my ability and I sure as hell intend to try and do as much as i possibly can in the short time i have in this world.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING Well i do think this is a noble project. It has opened up travel to a lot more people. We hope to be a part in this project to help in any which way we can to bring people and cultures closer. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE First time being here. But I have had my own personal experiences during my travel. Have stayed with some lovely people in my travels to Ireland...Italy...Germany. There are a lot of kind people out there. I myself have hosted some people over the years...and it has definately been a most rewarding thing. We just hosted this lovely couple from Australia for one night. They were the ones who introduced us to this site. We had a wonderful day with them...since they enjoyed local local cuisine...we took them to severla places where we love the food...and from their reactions...they enjoyed it too :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Too movies to mention...i am partial to sci fi...comedy and horror...not the slash em gory type..lol...more along the lines of vampires etc...hence Underworld is a fav..hehe. Am into R&B...hip hop...alternative...i do enjoy retro music...my age shows here..lol...however i do listent to current stuff as well...basically anything that strikes my fancy. Books...well again far too many to mention...i do like the classics...Jane Austen...DH Lawrence etc...Anne Rice is also one of my favs.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Rome was one of the most amazing places i have been to. To be able to see the Coliseum was awesome...goosebump time...lol. Visiting the Vatican was also another special thing. I am hoping there will more mazing things to see and do in the future.

Well asi said before...cooking is one of my passions...i do enjoy trying out cuisines from different places. I would love to share the cuisine of my culture and to learn about cuisines of other cultures. Another passion...history...its our past and it obviously has an impact on how we are today. Would like to exchange information abt our different historical pasts. Hence my love to travel to historical places. I want to see for myself all these places that I have read so much about.
