I am a 18 year old girl from Austria who decided to make a Au Pair year in the United States. Mostly to improve my English. At home, I have a big family, which I really appreciate and I love being with them. I love going to soccer games with my family and friends because it is very popular where I live..and I used to go there since I was born. In the United States I live with a family which has 3 kids. Under the week I am mostly working and enjoying the time with the kids. On weekends I do some stuff with my friends or we use our free time to travel and see the US. Which is of course the next reason I am here. And I now more and more enjoy to get to know so many people here.

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

I like to use this with my friends because we are all Au Pairs and we now get used to get to know new people. But the problem here is.. you mostly just get to know other Au Pairs. We love Americans, but it is hard to really get to know some other ones than our host families. And of course this year is for us a year in which we would like to see as much of the United States as we can. This is not really cheap and with the flights it gets expensive. So couchsurfing offers a good possibility to get to know new people and see how they live and additionally it's pretty cheap. And we would love it if you could give us some insider information about your town and maybe tell us something about your story.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

I like to hear pop I would say. But I don't always here the same things. It depends more on my mood lol. So sometimes I hear Electro, sometimes something Croatian, Austrian or German. But most of the time the charts.
My favorite movie is a German movie called "Honig im Kopf". It's about Alzheimer..and this movie is very sad and so funny at the same time. I would say my favorite genres are Comedy, Drama, Action, Romance and sometimes I like to watch Documentaries.
I was not really a person who read a lot. So I don`t really have favorite books. But since I am in the US I started reading because I wanted to improve my english.

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

A good experience for me was to come to the US. Especially the first weeks when you meet so many people here were great. In the first week Au Pairs have to attend a Training School. There I met so many people with which I am now friends. So many nice people who live around the US. And coming to your host family and the area brings also a lot to learn. New Au Pairs..again..so friendly and nice. And of course the new family. To be able to see how they live is a really great experience and I am so grateful to get to live with them.

When I would come to your home I would like to tell you about my home, how we live and things like what are different to the US. Maybe you could learn simple German words or even Croatian. I would also love to learn about you. You probably live in a different area than my host family. I like to learn how the life in other parts of the United States and everyone has a different living style. This is so fascinating and maybe you can give me something on my way.
