I´m Audio Engineer with heart and soul. Grown up in a small village in bavaria, but allready having seen lots of kinds of music and art i decided to move to Graz to study Electrical and Audio Engineering to make my passion a proper profession and to combine my technical interests and background with the musical and artistic. In 7 years doing this i did a lot of voluntary and honorary work in the Austrian Students Union for all of my fellow students from every years and generations. Six years as elected chairman of all Audio Engineering Studies in Austria.
I like this kind of altruism and be convinced that everything you give to everyone will return in any way to your own life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just joined couchsurfing because i would like to travel more and see many things in the world. Not from the typical touristic point of view, but from the view of people living at interesting places and cities. I like the altruistic and social aspect behind the concept of couchsurfing a lot and love to meet new people, learn something about them and hear some stories from their lives and to tell my own :)
It´s a bit like the concept of "Mitfahrgelegenheiten" (sorry i can´t find an english expression), which i like a lot. By regularly giving people a ride between Austria and Germany , most times Munich Graz, taking about 4-5 hours i met lots of very nice people, telling interesting stories, learned a lot and some of them are still my best friends now :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can show you nice, interesting and extraordinary places in and around Graz. One of my special fields is always knowing what ensembles and bands are playing in which location at what times. The well known ones as well as the very unknown, new, but good musicians :)
I´m very interested in culinary and can recommend good restaurants for all different tastes and price ranges, as well as cosy and interesting fine bars.
And... cooking is my personal passion. Maybe we will cook something delicious together :)

Oh, last but not least, my occupation is my vocation. So you can ask me about everything you wanted ever know about acoustics, electroacoustics, music, signal processing, psychoacoustics and music production and everything related like multimedia and art installations, theatrical lighting etc. etc.
