I love travelling, meeting new people and culture.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met a lot of extraordinary people by couchsurfing, mainly by Cs events but also when I was staying in a housemates and welcoming couch surfer (Pedra Sina residence in Madeira) or couchsailing in Malaysia.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I used to live in Bern but since 3 years I am living in La Reunion Island.

I am often travelling for my works and not often at home, but you can drop me a line with pleasure to catch up in la Reunion or around the world 🤗.

Regarding Bern...

Top places free and/or cheap in Bern:
For the view: Münster and Rosengarten
For Nature: Walking/swimming along the Aare from Eichholz camping to Lorraine Bad
For Swimming : Marzili and Lorraine Bad (free)
For the city: anywhere in the old town
For eating cheap and fair : Ass Bär (second hand bakery) & Gmüse garten (second hand shop for vegetables) in the old town.
For second hand shopping : Bärner Brocki (the best in my opinion, but there is many other in Bern).
You can rent bicycle for free or for a very low cost in several point in the city (in exchange of an ID card) in Summer. one of the sation is near the Hirschengraben station.

There is several flea market (Flohmarkt) like the one the first Sunday of the month in the Reitschule or the third Saturday of every month from May to Oktober in the matte (Mühlenplatz).
And the market days are every Tuesday and Saturday at the Waisenhausplatz and Bärenplatz.
Nice alternative Bar: Thurnalle, Reitschule, café du Nord
Nice hotel: Landhaus
Places to eat traditional Swiss specialties: like rösti, cheese fondue, raclette: Loetschberg and Tramdepot (Swiss price :-)).
Places to eat well: Aarbergerhof, der Thurm.
