I am from Ukraine but I feel like a foreigner everywhere during whole my life. It seems to me I am a chameleon, trying to absorb other people's culture. I moved to Gdansk, Poland 4 years ago.
I am vegan from 2012 (not a hipster). But I have been smoking for 7 years. I can play piano, guitar and drums (but I have a trauma after a music school).
I love attending film festivals such as in Berlin, Cannes or Venice and after that critise them as businesses and political platforms (attention: I've written a book about this bullshit).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love (!!!) meeting new people, because they are muses for me. And I am interested in making film essays, music films (blague spoiler: the one directed by me won an award). Also I am peripatetic (yeap, cool word).

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Mac DeMarco, David Bowie, Nick Cave, Pink Floyd, Tame Impala, Iggy Pop, Portishead, the Cure, Ty Segall, Psychic TV, Blablarism, Soft Moon etc. I adore the KVB and cry, listening to some film soundtracks.

Movies: I am a film addict. I had watched 5-6 movies a day, but now I am little tired of it.

Somerset Maugham, J. D. Salinger, Jerome K. Jerome, Bernard Shaw, Charlotte Bronte, Jane Austen,classics of Russian literature. By the way I have all Stephen Fry's books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once upon the time 13-year-old Vera was playing a pirate, walking on uncle's bed. And then leg turned out to be between two 30KG barbells. Yeah, I've broken my leg, being the pirate.
Also I met Woody Allen in Paris.
