About Me

Hi!! :D Thanks for taking the time to read up on my profile. Hopefully there is something in it that might interest u that makes me a suitable host/surfer. To begin with, i didnt know there is actually an official couchsurfing community out there till a friend brought it up. I had memorable couchsurfing experiences in Australia, Vietnam, New Zealand and in the US. So it would b great to get involved in this couchsurfing project n meet like-minded n like-hearted people.

Im a piscean so i naturally go with tha flow. Easygoing, sometimes lazy but mostly spontaneous. I enjoy being exposed to new countries, experiencing their culture, weather and meeting people from all over especially when we share some common interest as well. Currently working as an airline pilot in Singapore and my schedule can be a little random.

PHILOSOPHY

-its all about mind over matter. but if u don't mind
it doesn't matter.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I m participating in the CS Project as a host/surfer. Some people may not be receptive to the idea of couchsurfing. But i would like to participate in this project to help assure them that couchsurfing has been safe n fun from my sole experience and the experiences shared by fellow couchsurfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In 2007 i moved to Australia. Needing to spend almost 2 years there, i had to rent out an apartment. I had some delays with moving into my apartment due to the amneties not being ready. My friend then suggested that i could stay with a friend of his whom i have not met before and that he had a spare room at his place. I only saw moving into a motel as a last resort and therefore took up my friend's offer. I was greeted warmly by his hospitality n stayed over for the weekend. We ended up going for dinner n hanging out at the bar that friday night. Following day, he offered to drive me to the mall so that i could buy some stuff for my new apartment. We also found out that we were football fans n ended up catching the football match on the tele. When i moved into my apartment on monday, i realised how much of a help he has been to me. Proud to say, we are still good friends to this day. My experience could have been much different had i paid to stay in the motel over the weekend n not getting to know anyone. U could call me an accidental couchsurfer, considering i never knew they had coined such a term for it back then.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing i have done is to embark on a flying career. Its been a long time dream to be able to pilot the metallic bird and have never looked back since. Leonardo Da Vinci sums up the experience, "For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
