About Me

An active, life-loving person, thirsty for new knowledge and experiences. At first glance, I might seem quiet, but I warm up to people pretty fast :D I come to other countries looking not just for beautiful architecture/nature, but tasty food and interesting people

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think that cities are not buildings, cities are people. The metaphor might sound a bit edgy, hehe.
What I mean is it's much more interesting to explore an unknown city through people, who have been living there for a long time, see how they arrange their everyday life, learn what they care about and what they eat (oh, I appreciate good food so much!)

Ready to be that local for anyone who comes to Kyiv!

Interests

I’ve been taking singing lessons since childhood; singing is my life-long hobby, emotional outlet and a source of enormous happiness. I sing covers and love an occasional karaoke trip.

I wouldn't call myself a sporty person (don't like fitness for the sake of fitness), but for the last few years I've been practicing yoga (amazing what it does to your concentration abilities and balance!) and riding a bike (it was the main summer pastime in my teens, I missed it and decided to buy myself a bike again :D).

I've been quite a workaholic (usually having a side-hustle) and a practical person focused on achievements. But right now, I'm at the stage of my life where I learn to do things just for fun or pleasure!

On chilly days, I spend my free time watching Netflix, usually the same shows on and on (probably just to feel safe and regulate, but that's how I learned to understand English speakers!), cooking (I don't have the talent for cooking, but I'm still very into breakfast food), planning future travels, or playing Sims 4 😅 A small guilty pleasure of mine!

I’m also into writing. I appreciate a good story and learn to be a good storyteller as well. I started my career on TV as an international reporter, but the job was in-house. So, I took another one that allowed me to move around more (ironic it wasn't journalism, huh?). Right now, I’m a content writer for a wellness app

Music, Movies, and Books

I love singers with great strong voices. Currently my favorite is Jamala (Ukrainian singer, you may remember her from Eurovision-2016). I just love how authentic she's on stage.

I also love rewatching old sitcoms such as 'Friends', 'HIMYM', 'Gilmore Girls', 'Modern Family' and so on :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I would looove to show you Kyiv, but maybe not right now (🥲)
I can bring you something from Ukraine though, cook you a nice Ukrainian dinner, and even sing you a couple of Ukrainian songs!
