About Me

Hi! I'm Vitor, a Brazilian exchange student currently living in the North of France. I study software engineering with a double degree in IT and industrial engineering. I love traveling and I believe that's what makes me feel alive and happy. This may sound really cheesy, but recently the trips I've been doing are just making me feel good in a way I've never felt before. Getting to know locals is always great in order to really experience the culture from where I'm going. I also love photography.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm always up to getting the actual experience of the life of a local, so meeting someone from there is always a must! Besides that, I'm a student, a place to sleep while traveling is highly desired :p

Music, Movies, and Books

I love books, but I confess most of those I know are either Brazilian or fantasy novels such as Harry Potter. My taste in music is pretty wide, ranging from indie pop to rap, but I don't really like bossa nova, sorry /: besides the stereotype people usually have of Brazilians haha

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I believe when I decided to start learning Brazilian sign language. That enabled me to get to know a whole new culture and ways of living, leaving my comfort zone. I'd say leaving my home country as well, this has been an interesting experience since the beginning.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn everything from wherever I visit, even small things. How's the breakfast, how people say sorry or thank you, how the parties are, etc.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cultural exchange as well as some words in Portuguese or Brazilian sign language (swear words included :p). Also some embarrassing moments in my life such as me embarrassing myself in the languages I've been trying to learn and when I cried for a fucking half an hour in New Year's in Paris cause I was feeling the happiest person on Earth.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, Spain, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
