My name is Viviana. I am Chilean and I have lived in different cities since I was born. I spent most of my adolescence in Iquique, in the north of Chile where I could enjoy the sea and nice dunes too. I also studied my career there. After I finished, I moved to Santiago where I applied for the Au pair program to USA. I stayed in Connecticut and Virginia for 2 years and it was a wonderful experience. I met nice people that are still my friends and I keep in touch with my host families as well. Since I returned to my country I have spent my days in the south of Chile. First, in Cobquecura where we can find a beautiful coast and good waves to surf. Nowadays, I live in Estaquilla, Los Lagos region. I came here in 2019 and I fell in love with this place, I love life in nature so this is an incredible place with awesome landscapes to spend time and life. I like sharing, talking and doing things that contribute to my mind, body and soul. And of course, I also need my space to recharge batteries :). From March till December I work as a teacher in rural schools so I am more relaxed with my schedules during summer or winter holidays. I have 4 dogs and we are a family. They are very sweet with people. I like dancing, I am not an expert, just 100% attitude :). Last year I began with afro peruvian rhythms and I would like to continue exploring dances. I also like traveling and trekking. For now Just enjoying the places in this region because I started, some time ago, my big project that is building my house and it demands a lot of energy and time. It´s been 3 years already and still lots of things and details to complete. It feels good to create the life I dreamt of and there are still many ideas I would like to carry out in my place. I live off grid and I also care a lot about recycling and promote an environmental education. It would be nice to share my life style with you :) Saludos! Vivi :)

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I like the idea of sharing ideas and ways of life. I also like listening and learning new perspectives and I think Couchsurfing is a perfect way of getting this. Besides, meeting new people is a good way of traveling with the mind and see places that I don't know yet. Couchsurfing is a good way for me to have a nice and cheaper traveling experience.

I love music and I always try to update my playlist but some of my favorites ones are rock, cumbia, alternative music, musica andina, some movies soundtracks. Some of favorites groups are: Femina, Cuatro pesos de Propina, Kuervos del Sur, Curawaka, Pascuala y la Vaca, Son del Valle, Moby, mimicking birds, city and colour, The Cranberries, among others.
