About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Helping the street kids

ABOUT ME

Love diving, love photography, love meeting people, super friendly, tolerant, and patient. Love making people feel at home but this time I'm travelling with my boyfriend and looking to meet people and learn how to cook and live the asian way - used to live in thailand philippines and indonesia, and feel like i'm going "home" now that i'm travelling back there again. Didier's a musician, masseur, and sports instructor, plus a really deep and interesting philosopher ;) Curious? So are we!

the plan now: move to Manila or Quezon, and find a couch while we find a place to move in, ideally share a house with a few people!

PHILOSOPHY

Vinnie: "it's not about how much you give.. it's about how little you expect back"

Didier: "help yourself before you can help others, but hurry up and get it going already!"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As soon as Didier and I find our own home in Manila or Quezon, we'll put up a bed, couch or sofa for as many people as we have cushions!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, just chatting on the message pages, so I'm eager to get into it. Didier had some couchsurfers stay at his place in Nyon, Switzerland, previously, and they returned several times!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We bought some school uniforms for 6 girls in cambodia, because they couldn't afford to buy them no matter how many bracelets they sold on the beach. They even chose a uniform which was 2 sizes too big, so that they could wear them for the next few years... the smile on their face because they were so proud to have a new uniform... very touching. To think kids back home would never feel this way about school!

Teach, Learn, Share

our main aim in life is to show others that there are many many positive things happening around us, just open your eyes and see the positive. Easy to say, I know, but the more we believe it, the more it will grow. we hope to make documentaries of positive things happening around us. Keep a look out on our webpage: www.ekolibrium.org
